Trimble’s WeedSeeker solutions are breakthroughs for variable rate application.
The patented WeedSeeker technology uses advanced optics and computer circuitry to sense if a weed is present. The WeedSeeker will spray only weeds, not bare ground. WeedSeeker is effective wherever weeds occur intermittently – such as through pavement cracks, sidewalks, airport tarmacs, and parks and recreation paved surfaces.
Watch this short video to learn how the Weedseeker technology works.
Cut weed-control costs by up to 80%!
Weeds that occur intermittently present a classic dilemma: Broadcast spraying is inherently wasteful, but spot-spraying is labor-intensive, costly, and also wasteful. Now there is no need to choose between the two. Since the WeedSeekeris essentially an automated spot-sprayer, it beats all other systems hands down. In most cases, the units pay for themselves in less than a year. This diagram shows the cost savings (vs. acreage per application) to control weeds for a four-foot strip using a 1.5% Roundup solution. |

The WeedSeeker® Advantage:
The WeedSeeker® Sensor |
The sensor, which is at the heart of the WeedSeeker® system, is a chlorophyll identifying selective spray system. The unique patented optical system allows the unit to detect and spray weeds while not spraying bare ground. The sensor is a self contained unit that has optical and electronic components needed to detect and spray weeds. It's a system designed to dramatically reduce herbicide usage. |

The Controller |
One Controller or Controller Logic (CL) panel will operate up to sixteen (16) WeedSeeker sensors (with eight units on each of two control cables). Additional Controller Logic panels are used in larger systems. |
The Valve Cartridge VC01 |
The WeedSeeker® valve cartridge VC01 consists of a brass inlet for incoming liquid, a spray nozzle, a LED indicator, an electrical connector socket and two stainless steel screws. The cartridge also includes a pressure relief safety outlet. |

Booms: Rear Mount Utility Vehicle Boom System |
The Utility Vehicle Tank and Boom System can be mounted on a variety of utility vehicles including street sweeper trucks. These systems are used to spray runways, streets, parking lots, or other areas. The system is mounted by bolting the skids to the bed of the vehicle. The boom is attached behind the vehicle to the bed mounted skids or front mounted to the bumper. The booms accommodate 8 to 16 sensors and are either rigid or folding with breakaway hinges. Shields are mounted on the folding portions to the end of the boom to protect the sensors.

Booms: ATV Boom System 6ft.-12ft. |
The ATV Boom System (6 ft. to 12 ft.) is designed for spraying curbs, gutters, sidewalks and other areas with 6’ wide clearance. The boom has breakaway and folding hinges. It is mounted further forward to allow space for the breakaway/folding hinge (see diagram). The boom is mounted on the front utility rack and is available single-sided or double-sided. The plastic hoods have flexible rubber boots on the end to protect trees, stakes or posts. One (1), two (2), or three (3) sensors can be mounted under each hood to spray 12", 24", or 36". Parts are purchased separately to make a complete system. Various components can also be purchased separately and added to an existing system. |
Booms: Front Mount Utility Vehicle |
The Gator Boom System is designed for spraying curbs and gutters, sidewalks and other areas. It is mounted to the front bumper and is available single-sided or double-sided. The boom has breakaway and folding hinges. The plastic hoods have flexible rubber boots on the end to protect vines, trees, stakes or posts. The boom is available for spray widths of 6’ to 12’. One (1), two (2), or three (3) sensors can be mounted under each hoods to spray 12", 24", or 36". Parts are purchase separately to make a complete system. Various components can also be purchased separately and added to an existing system. |
