the orthorectification of aerial and satellite
imagery. CompassData collects ground control
on behalf of leading vendors of aerial and
satellite imagery. CompassData has collected
over 9600 GCPs across North America and around
the world.

uses existing features on the ground, such as
sidewalk intersections, to establish unambiguous,
photo-identifiable GCPs. CompassData uses the
latest in GPS technology combined with years of
field experience and a proven system to ensure
the accuracy of each GCP. CompassData uses a combination
of Trimble mapping-grade and survey-grade GPS
receivers, depending on the accuracy required.
