Maintenance And Prevention Integrated
Tune-up
MAP-IT is a 19-point annual inspection program
that will ensure that latent issues are tested
for, and hopefully will allow us to capture
and resolve issues proactively for all Trimble
MGIS Field Tools:
· Trimble Geo XH/XT/XM 2005 Series
· Trimble Geo XT/XM 2003 Series
· Trimble Pro XH/XT Receivers
· Trimble Data Collection TSC1, TSCe,
Ranger, and Recon
· Trimble Pathfinder Pro XL, XR, and
XRS
Antenna
1. Ensure that the Satellite view screen is open
and allow the unit to track SV.
2. Ensure that a position can be generated and
that the SNR of the available SV are adequate.
3. Check the external antenna. Verify that the
external antenna connect message appears.
System Inspection
1. Check and Upgrade the Operation System up to
the latest version
2. Calibrate the touch screen. Touch screen operation
is normal
3. Ensure that the menu and icon navigation through
the various screens seems normal
4. Check and Upgrade the Firmware for the latest
version
Charging & Battery Inspection
1. When the unit is placed on the cradle we verify
that the main battery power displays Charging.
2. Check System report for battery information
3. Drain the Battery to 10% and verify the unit
is charging back to 100%. Repeat second time and
verify that the unit can charge to 100% again
4. Visually inspection the battery, specifically
check the battery flex connector.
Physical Inspection
1. Check for cracks or any physical or structural
damage.
2. Wipe clean the outer surface of the unit
3. Open the unit and toque all screws to the specifications,
which includes the Basket, Bucket, lower housing
and Bezel.
Communication Test
1. Confirm that the unit communicates using Microsoft
ActiveSync
SD Card Test (2005 only)
1. Audio test: This test evaluates both the microphone
and speaker
2. Key pad test: This test will evaluates each
key on keypad
3. Display: Will allow the user to view all pixels
of the LCD in a range of colors to insure all
function properly.
4. Total Power off: This test will evaluate the
ability of the unit to be reset.
